the gaming industry worries me in a lot of ways, from rockstar employees working 100 hour work weeks to players in the overwatch league being treated line inanimate objects. players being uninformed or unable to consent to trades, players unaware of them being dropped, lack of communication especially with certain language barriers, players suffering from mental health and them being given little to no help.
the overwatch esports industry requires a union at this point, the way players are being treated and it being normalized is unacceptable and eventually will just kill off the scene entirely. or at least every team needs someone from HR. there needs to be rules and certain rules need to be more strict, more specified. none of this vague bullshit. players deserve way better whether they’re from open division, contenders or the league. they deserve better than this.
KIDS! In the US and elsewhere… older generations will use you as a prop but will work against making the world better for you, again and again. GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!

In a perfect world, we could debate about the semantics over the word till the cows come home. But the fact of the matter is that when Trump uses the word Nationalist, he’s using a very SPECIFIC version of the word. Hell, he even SAYS “you’re not supposed to say this word” which indicates that the version he’s referring to is the BAD one. And given his history of overt racism, it’s DEEPLY troubling to hear the President of the United States admit that he is one.
So you know what, I’m REALLY not into having a debate about this. You and I both know what version he means and why this is a problem, otherwise you wouldn’t even bring it up.
And it’s legit good too, given the dude who does ‘em also studies these kinds of things for a living!

I love youtube precisely because it gives ordinary people the outlet for talking about their well-researched opinions on very weird and specific subjects that you would not hear about otherwise.
Sword YouTube is one of the more wholesome sections. Just a bunch of eeapon nerds talking nerdy shit 100% of the time. No drama.
